Our Services
Rehabilitation / Injury Recovery
Physical therapists are movement experts trained to approach the evaluation of an injury holistically in order to determine the most effective manner of treatment. Determining imbalances in joint and soft issue mobility and strength will enable the therapist to design a treatment protocol specifically tailored to your needs. Whether your injury is acute or chronic in nature you would likely benefit from a comprehensive evaluation with a physical therapist. Treatment typically includes manual therapy, exercise instruction and education.
Injury Prevention
You don’t have to wait for an injury to seek advice from a physical therapist. Physical therapists are trained to detect muscle and strength imbalances and mobility deficits that may impact your performance down the road. Addressing these issues early is important so you are able to continue the activities you enjoy.
Sports recovery
Whether you are an elite athlete training for competition, or a weekend warrior, how one recovers from the stress and strain of training is equally as important as the workout itself. Manual therapy treatment, along with a specifically tailored strengthening and stretching routine, can help to insure ideal muscle and joint mobility for optimal performance.
Manual therapy services
IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft tissue mobilization) is an advanced form of manipulation used to detect and release tissue restrictions and adhesions. This technique improves blood flow to the tissues creating more mobility therefore providing a better environment for healing.
Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a technique in which the therapist uses a fine filament needle to release tight bands of tissue (trigger points) in the muscle. The trigger point release allows the muscle to loosen and return to its optimal functioning length.
Myofascial release is a hands-on technique that uses sustained pressure to release restrictions in the myofascial connective tissue.
Joint mobilization is a skilled passive movement of the corresponding joint surfaces by the physical therapist to decrease muscle guarding and pain and improve joint mobility.
Pre & Post surgical Rehabilitation
Physical therapy services for individuals seeking care before and after surgery. Often the best post-surgical results come from the rehab one does prior to surgery. Preparing the joints and muscles with the best possible mobility and strength prior to surgery can help insure a better outcome following the procedure. Post-surgical rehabilitation is imperative to regain strength and mobility for quicker returns to full activity and pain-free living.
